The Fujikura 88R ribbon fiber fusion splicer is equipped with a large heating area that can handle up to 12 cores of optical fiber. It can melt the optical fiber evenly between the electrode rods and control the discharge intensity in real time by analyzing the brightness of the arc. Although the ribbon fiber splicer does not have the ability to align the core, Fujikura has effectively reduced the impact of fiber deviation by analyzing and utilizing the tension on the surface of the optical fiber during the discharge process.
